I recently had the hard disk on my laptop replaced. I am now try to retrieve
business contacts that have been saved on my PDA. However, Microsoft
ActiveSync gives the following message when I trying to synchronize business
contacts: "Items of one or more information types cannot be synchronized.
Disconnect and reconnect your device."

I have followed this advice to no avail. The other items, calendar,
contacts, etc, are being synchronized.

What do I need to do to overcome this problem? Alternatively, how can I set
up Outlook to use the version of the business contacts database from a backup?

System information:
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 9100
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service PAck 3
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (11.8217.8221) SP3
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager Version
1.00.2002.01
Microsoft ActiveSync Version 4.5.0 (Build 5096)

PDA: Dell Axim Pocket PC
Pocket PC Version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178)
Business Contacts Version 2.0.4013.0

Hi,

Have not been using Business Contact Manager in quite a while but I the
following url's should help you get some direction with how you could
probably get your contacts from the backup.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/he...134911033.aspx

With respect to the error message, I would suggest you give your device a
soft reset and then attempt a sync and check if it helps.
