Unable to uninstall anything - error message says must finish curr

I was trying to unistall antivirus software from CA. The uninstall process
stopped halvway and required that I close the software first. Did so and
tried to uninstall. Now each time I get the error: "Please wait until the
current program is finished uninstalling".
There is no info on what it is trying to uninstall.
I am unable to uninstal anything else - same message.
Rebooting doesn't help.

2nd problem - in the uninstall panel, there are a number of icons with no
name, publisher, etc. When I try to uninstall them, nothing happens.

You might try re-installing the CA AV and then repeat the uninstall
following the uninstall instructions.
