Unable to UNINSTALL Silverlight 1.0

This is crazy -- Silverlight 2.0 site finds Silverlight 1.0, and says to
install 2.0. It gives an error that it cant install. Try to uninstall
Silverlight 1.0 via add/remove programs -- results in "The Installation
Source for this product is not available. Verify the source exists and that
you can can access it."

I have seen many many people that have this issue but NO ONE has been able
to fix this. I have spent 3-4 hours reading and searching on support sites,
blogs, etc. it always talks about INSTALLing but this is about UNINSTALLING.

This sounds crazy - anyone out there that can figure this out?
