I am trying to update 3 servers through the windows web site and am getting
several failures. I see that the WSUS server tried to update the servers and now nothing will update.. Check out this MSKB : Error messages that you may receive when you try to download and install updates from the Windows Update Web site, from the Microsoft Update Web site, or from a WSUS server: "0x800704DD," "0x80240020," or both http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910341 BTW, there is a newsgroup for WSUS : http://www.microsoft.com/technet/com...pdate_services Suggest you post the issue there if the KB article brings no relief. I have been reading and working on this for two weeks and I have tried
everything Posted on all the boards and nothing seem to work. I did find what my problem was that the Background Intelligent Transfer Service was not set to log on as a Local System account. Somehow it was changed to the – This account settings. I changed this to The Local System account and rebooted went to windows update and now everything works.
