I am using Windows XP home edition SP2
I tried to view a video clip but got a message saying that Explorer could
find the Windows Media Player.
I looked on Control panel and It said that the media player was installed.
I tried to remove so I could reinstall it. All that happens is when I click
REMOVE on the ADD/Remove programs screen, all I get is a screen that says
there is an update available. I am given no further opportunity to indicate I
did not want to install media player updates, but rather I wanted to remove
media player.
When I try to run the update I get an error message #8007F0DA with no
explanation.
I seem to be caught between a rock and a hard place.
Also I recently backed off Windows XP home edition SP3 because it is making
my system unstable.
