Unable to update

I recieve the following error:
"Code 646 Windows Update encoutnered an unknown error"
when running windows update and it says I need an update.
"Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB976321).
How can I get it to update so I quick getting message that I have Important
Update.
