I cannot update since I installed SP2. I have, for one full month,
corresponded with MS support - all I got is to find out if there is a
software issue. I asked if there could be a conflict with McAfee and they
said no, it was something else - regardless - I read Taurarian Fire's reply
to Dude - and did what this recommedation suggested: WINUP-Third-Party

I still cannot get updates. I get the screen that says windows updates, but
it doesn't check my system. I have gone to MSCONFIG and disabled all start
ups which worked once before. But now McAfee somehow, even when diabled,
manages to get their check for updates in the start uo box.
How can I get updates? Is there another work around?
