Unable to use cam

I have installed windows live messenger on my computer,,I have all the
required items to make it work I believe,,unable to get cam working. Use cam
with other programs and all is fine. Guess I am missing something....Any
words of advice

Have you gone through the Audio and Video Setup wizard? If not, click the Tools menu (or
press Alt-T if the menu is hidden), then click Audio and Video Setup and go through the
wizard.

If you're still having problems, are you able to go through the wizard? and are you seeing
any specific error messages?

Hi!
I am having this same problem and messenger (live 8.0.812) "can not run
audio and video setup"

I have tried everything! disabling..enabling everything, reboots, closing
out of anything that may interfere...etc..

Webcam works fine with other programs, just not messenger.

Any advice is greatly appreciated
