Unable to use "Review your update history"

My windows up date has suddenly started to play up. I can access the update
page, it will search for updates and it appears to down load and update I
request and, I think, it installs them. It says the update has been
successfully installed. However when I click on Review update history I get
the
"Error message 0x800A138F The website has encountered a problem and cannot
display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might
help you solve the problem."
I have tried the options but can't find the answer and before I use the on
line assisted support
can anyone please suggest a solution?
