unable to view certain wmv movies

Hey there guys. Basically the subject sayd it all. I can only play some .wmv movies in my Media Player series 9 (98 OS). Those I can't, Media Player 9 tries to "Acquire a License" but it fials with an error message "Windows Media Player has detected that you are not connected to the Internet. Connect to the Internet, and then try again." But I am. With firewalls down and all. I'm wondering if the site where Media Palyer 9 is geting the updaates has a problem. Appreciate your input on this. Thanks in advance.
