Unchecked box when downloading

When I was downloading some wavs, I accidently (un)checked the box that asks
about what action you would like to do. Ex: Open, Save or Cancel. Now my
downloads are automatically downloading without my control.
I need to have the box 'checked' again. How do I reset this?
