uncle bill gates last stand

i have been thinking..ok i know..not a smart thing to be doing..but some one
said it took..microsoft five years to make vista..i dont know..but i wonder
if vista was made defective on purpose,or was it just a bunch of fools..that
couldnt get it right..and uncle bill seen this and he just said what the
f------k and put it out for sale..not careing..or giveing a crap..about us or
anything else..maybe he feels this is his last stand..hes old.maybe he just
figures..this is the last one..he may not be around for another one..by
retirement or selling the business,,and just going on a rest of his life
vacation..he figures..that vista is so screwed up..it will keep all of his
work force,,in a job..makeing updates and fixes and service packs..for the
next..20-30 years..he has billions in the bank and money makeing money,,he
aint going to go broke..i feel that he made something off of every piece of
vista approved software and hardware,,every one is haveing to go out and
buy..this is what im thinking and im sticking to it..

Although Bill Gates is known as a cult figure at Microsoft or the face of
the Company, Microsoft is more than Bill Gates. There are thousands of
developers who work on the products, services and technologies. Windows
Vista is not the last release of Windows, Microsoft is currently developing
Service Pack 1 which will further improve the performance of the operating
system while supporting new standards and technologies. The next release of
Windows after Vista SP1 is Windows Server 2008 which will be launched in
February 2008.

By the way, I don't know of any Company willing to spend or even have US
$270 billion to buy Microsoft Corp.

The most successful way to write software is ALWAYS leave them wanting
more. The idea is to dangle a carrot in front of the customer's nose
so he can plainly see it, but keep it just out of reach. That builds
excitement and anticipation. Remember how WOW was used in early
marketing?

The not well very kept secret to Microsoft's success is it excels at
clever marketing straitens, knowing how to bully their competitors and
browbeat their partners, but they make at best just mediocre software.
It has proved to be a very successful business model.

Human beings in general are a forgiving and trusting species. You can
fool them once and come back years later and fool them again using the
same bullshit. Gates and Ballmer have learned that lesson well.

Is Vista "better"? Sure, marginally in some respects. Does it deliver
on all the hype and promise that we were told years ago it was going
to be? Hell no! That would derail the gravy train. So we again are
told and believe wait till next time. Surely the next version of
Windows whatever it ends up getting named will be much better than
Vista.

unlike uncle bill and the gang at microsoft..i will tell you i dont know how
to make an os..but really..could any of us do a worst job..uncle bill was
smart..money wise..he put this defective os out and didnt care..he made
millions or billions.off of us and a defective unfinished product..he sold us
a box with a dvd in it...of an unfinished os..it has to go for the
updates..just to be able to function some..what other corperation could pull
this off..he does not fear the goverment comeing down on him..he knows if he
does.he will just pay some stupid fine to them..he want have to give us the
defauded customers..one red cent.it didnt matter if he had a half a os..as
long as he shows..he is trying to fix it..with updates..we cant get our money
back..think about it..the crook..is in a know loose situation...he cant
loose..how sweet is it to be able to rob..millions of people..with a dvd,of a
defective product..on it..its like a movie..bait and switch...is it sweet or
what..you got to love it...

I think some people just hate big business. It doesn't matter if it's
Microsoft, IBM, AT&T, big insurance companies or whatever. But let's just
focus on Microsoft for a minute. They have been accused of stealing,
robbing, cheating and every other terrible thing in the universe for the
sake of making money. Forget Vista. I don't know if it's any good or not. If
you don't like it, don't use it. It's no different than toothpaste.

Now let's look at the thousands of jobs that Microsoft creates and the
millions of dollars in tax revenues they generate. Not once have I seen
anything in this group about the millions of dollars donated through the
Gates foundation for worthy causes throughout the world. And no, I don't
work for Microsoft or have any affiliation with them.

Like it or not, the world is a better place with Microsoft in it.

Don't forget US balance of payments. Microsoft and Boeing are probably the
two biggest sources of foreign trade benefiting the US.

And don't forget the thousands of foreign engineers who come here to work
for Micros~1, adding to the brain-power pool in the US, to the detriment of
their home countries.

And don't forget the increased productivity of the American worker resulting
from Micros~1's products. The US worker is the most productive in the world.

Don't overlook, either, the tax revenues flowing to state and federal
coffers that resulted from the wealth created by Micros~1.

Plus, I get a modest dividend every quarter.

Not so, too broad a statement. People tend to dislike greedy,
arrogant, poorly run big businesses. Apple, Microsoft, IBM and AT&T
sure fit that bill. Some big companies are VERY well run and highly
respected. Like Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. This billionaire
(over 55 billion net worth) lives in the same modest home he has for
decades, still drives himself around in a modest car and runs his
substantial empire from sleepily middle of the country Ohama Nebraska,
about as far from the Wall Street scene as you can get.

Berkshire Hathaway has returned a whopping 25% annual return to
stockholders twenty five years running. It owns such well know brands
as GEICO insurance, Dairy Queen and Fruit of the Loom, plus dozens of
others lessor known brands. People LOVE to work for Buffett and he is
highly respected not only for his Midas touch with making shrew
investments, but in how he treats his employees and customers.

I can separate Bill Gates the man, from Bill Gates' Microsoft. Old
Billy no longer has the fire in the belly and is starting to distance
himself from his baby Microsoft. To his credit he spends most of his
time now figuring out how to give his vast wealth to good causes. Good
for him. The danger is leaving crazy Steve Ballmer in charge of
Microsoft. Talk about a flim flam artist. Dopes that jump around on
stage screaming at the top of their lungs and have a habit of sticking
their tongue out and making crazy faces don't get much respect in the
business world. They shouldn't.
