Hello.
Yes, it's not tagged 'beta' for nothing; that is to say one or two rough
edges are completely acceptable. As a matter of fact, the software runs
pretty good as it is (build 8.0.0689.00). One thing I don't seem to
understand is the auto sign-in feature.
On the sign-in screen, there is an option labeled "Sign me in
automatically". What does it mean? Does it mean that, once you launch
Messenger, you should be automatically signed in (provided you have your
email and password saved)? Or something else?
And what about the "Allow automatic sign in when connected to the
Internet" option available from the General section of the options
dialog? What does it do? I could swear I once or twice saw a countdown
on the sign-in screen after the connection had been lost. As of late,
when the connection drops, I no longer see that countdown. Messenger
simply stays on the sign-in screen until I explicitly click on the "Sign
in" button.
Is there a way to have Messenger Live automatically reconnect after the
connection has been lost (due to factors such as network congestion,
server unavailability)? Of course, in the case where the user chooses to
sign out, the connection should not be re-established automatically.
Thank you for any comments or explanations,
