Undo/redo functions

OE (and Thunderbird) had/have undo/redo functions in their menus, which
I found very handy at times when editing/forwarding messages.
I'm now using WLM 2011 and can't find anywhere on the ribbon that lets
me undo or redo text.
Is it hidden somewhere or is it just not available?

George

I haven't tried it, but control-z - undo, control-y redo?

The Undo and Redo buttons are on the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and available in message composition mode
1. Ensure the QAT is enabled
- rt click a blank space area on the Menu bar and to provide the optino to show the QAT above or below the ribbon
2. On the QAT navigate to the furthest right icon (a small downward triangle with a horizontal bar, click on it and select Undo and/or Redo

Note: Almost all items on any of the ribbon menu tabs can be added to the QAT.

Hmm - tried that. (I already have the QAT visible).

The only options available to me when clicking on the right-hand arrow are:
New
Save as file
Delete
Reply
Print
Next
Update all
Show above ribbon
Minimize the ribbon

No sign of undo or redo!

And also no sign of undo or redo on the ribbon when writing a message in
message composition mode.

You don't see a QAT as pictured here?

Maybe you need to customize the QAT to re-add those shortcuts (by either
selecting Customize under the context menu for the QAT or right-clicking
on a ribbon toolbar item to add it to the QAT).

Yes I do see the QAT as pictured (but with different shortcuts as
selected by me)
I understand how to add stuff to the QAT from the ribbon - but here's
the catch:
I don't have Undo or Redo on the ribbon!
So - where can I get them from?
Or more importantly, why aren't they on the ribbon in the first place?

****Message composition****

Open a message or reply to a message.. The composition window has its own
QAT.
Undo/Redo is applicable to data entry.

i.e...There is no undo when viewing(i.e. when not composing) nor would
there be a global need for same.
