uninstal vista home premium-32 bit

I bought a new notebook that came with vista home premium already installed.
I need to uninstal it and instal XP because the lessons my daughter needs to
watch can only work on windows XP. How can I do it?

You have to reformat and buy another license for xp. However, before you do
that, try the compatibility option in vista. Look it up in Help. Almost all
xp software will run in vista. The lessons probably will work on vista with
or without some tweaking. Get someone to help if you can't research this
yourself.

Before you doing anything so drastic have you tried installing the 'lessons'
software in 'compatibility' mode?

Before following these instructions I suggest you create a system restore
point. If running in compatibility mode doesn't work you can simply restore
your system back to how it was rather than actually uninstall the software.

1/ Insert the lessons software CD into your CD-ROM
2/ When Vista asks you to allow permission to start the installation, Click
the Cancel option.
3/ Now open Windows Explorer
4/ Navigate to your CD-ROM drive and click on it
5/ You should see a list of files that are on the CD
6/ Right click on the startup.exe (or install.exe) files and, from the drop
down menu, click on Properties.
7/ In the properties box, Click the 'compatibility' tab
8/ In the compatibility window look for the 'compatibility mode' section and
then click on the box marked 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'
9/ The box below this option should show 'Windows XP (service pack 2)'. If
it doesn't then click the arrow to the right of this dialogue box and select
Windows XP (service pack 2) from the drop down list.
10/ Finally click OK
11/ The lessons software should now start to install in compatibility mode.

General information about replacing Vista with XP:

A. On an OEM (HP, Sony, etc.) computer:

1. Go to the OEM's website and look for XP drivers for your specific model
computer. If there are no XP drivers, then you can't install XP. End of
story. If there are drivers, download them and store on a CD-R or USB
thumbdrive; you'll need them after you install XP.

2. Check with the OEM - either from their tech support website or by calling
them - to see if you will void your warranty if you do this. If you will
void the warranty, you make the decision.

3. If the OEM does support XP on the machine, call them and see if you can
have downgrade rights and have them send you an XP restore disk. This will
be far the easiest and best way of getting XP on the machine.

4. If XP is supported on the machine but the OEM doesn't have an XP restore
disk for you, understand that you'll need to purchase a retail copy of XP
from your favorite online or brick/mortar store.

5. Also understand that you will need to do a clean install of XP so if you
have any data you want, back it up first.

6. If none of the above is applicable to you because you can't run XP on
that machine (see Item #1 above), return the computer and purchase one
running XP instead.

another way is to do it in a VM which will allow you to run Xp & use the
drivers currently installed
