How to uninstall Automatic Updates?

I keep all my systems up to date PROPERLY - which implies
using MU (Microsoft Update) and (on W2K) OU (Office Update),
but NOT the Automatic Updates (in our lab, those Auto Upds
are managed by the lab with local Microsoft, which results in
the wrong updates. In addition bad updates as the current 911567
being more and more frequent, make irrelevant to automatize MS
updates).

But on XP systems, I don't find any more how to get rid of these
stupid insistent messages "your system may be at risk": turning
"Automatic Updates" to notify without downloading, that used to
half-solve the problem, doesn't any more!

If MS wants to suicide, this is their business, but for a
company this big it will take time, and meanwhile I need my
system works properly, not impeded at each step by a round of
stupid irrelevant messages.

Anyone knows a fix?

Michel;
Open Security Center.
Click "Change the way Security Center alerts me"
Uncheck "Automatic Updates" and click OK.
