Uninstall ie 6

Have had a lot of problems with my computer after updating windows me. I have
worked w/a few people trying to resolve problem. Still not fixed. The updates
are gone now. Problem is I want to uninstall IE6 but I can not seem to do it.
I have tried add/remove programs, but all it gives me is add a component or
repair. How can I uninstall this? Please help. TC

IE6 is part of windows...hence the hacker problems...use a firewall to
block access...microsoft made IE the internet browser, now maybe they
will make it secure.

at a guess, one of your earlier repair procedures was an over-the-top
reinstall of Win ME from the CD??
If so, then you have a corrupted IE install.
Currently the only known way to fix this (in ME) is to completely remove IE,
and then reinstall whichever version of IE you want/need.
