I tried to update to SP3 and got the error code 0x8007F0F4. I checked
svcpack.log and it tells me there is this update KB925877 (RDP 6.0 MUI PACK)
causing the problem.
I started the Control Panel and selected "show updates" and... it`s not
there. I tried with Ccleaner, it`s not there. Next I used SiSoft Sandra and
it tells me that 925877 is installed, also update.microsoft > previous
updates shows that I have installed it in January.
I downloaded and installed the 925877 update again jus to get my chance to
uninstall it but still it`s not there.
Is there a way to manualy seek and destroy that 925877 update from my system?

To remove the KB925877 update
(not visible in the Control Panel -> Add/remove program),
Start regedit (Start -> Run -> type in Regedit and click 'OK')

Delete the following registry and try installing SP3 again.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
Version\Hotfix\KB925877

The error message disappeared and the SP3 upgrade will complete in minutes.
Hope this helps.

Instead of editing the registry, please do this ...

Click Start > Run > copy&paste the below into the Open: line and then
click OK or press Enter [this command assumes that WINDOWS is located on
C:\. If it's on another drive/partition then use that drive letter
instead of C:\]

c:\windows\$ntuninstallkb928577$\spuninst\spuninst .exe

Or, Show hidden files, folders, and system files:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...l62.html#winxp

Navigate to WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB925877$\spuninst
Run spuninst.exe

Agreed if you can locate or have not deleted the $nuninstallKB925877$
directory due to whatever reason (possibly removed by some disk optimisation
softwares to delete all $ntuninstall* directory to increase disk storage
space) in your PC.

As I cannot find the directory in my PC. I edit the registry so as to
continue the XP SP3 upgrade.
