Hi,

I recently install the "Microsoft Office Live Toolbar" and now it keeps on
appearing whenever I open any of the office suite applications.

Is there a way to either:

a) Turn it off so it only appears when I want it.

or...

b) Uninstall it altogether. I've looked in the uninstall programs section of
control panel and I don't see it.

Please, it's driving me mad.

I had the same problem, and there's several threads on this forum and others
about this. Seems to me that a Microsoft add-in which is pushed down through
Windows Update should behave like other toolbars in Office. Specifically,
all my other toolbars remember their state when I close the application. If
I leave the Tables & Borders toolbar open, it'll be open next time. If I
close the Formatting toolbar, it'll be closed next time. Except the Go To
Office Live toolbar opened EVERY time, no matter how many time I closed it,
and to add insult, it took it's own separate line, thus reducing my
workspace. (sorry for the rant, but Microsoft stuck us with an irritating
"feature").

Vista's Control Panel, Programs & Features was missing the Uninstall button
on this add-in (there are separate threads about this long-running
"feature"), so I downloaded Revo Uninstaller from download.com. Worked
quickly and cleanly. No more Office Live.

Too bad though. I might have been interested in checking out Office Live to
see if I liked using it - occasionally. But having that toolbar there in my
face EVERY time definitely turned me off.

To whom are you talking ?
The "forum" that you are posting in leaches off the Microsoft News servers
in order to make it look far busier than it really is. Everyone who uses the
MS News servers sees your post on it's own - we have NO IDEA to whom you are
talking.

This is not your fault - the fault lies with the forum owners who do not
explain to members that their posts end up on global Usenet newsgroups.
If you MUST continue to post in this "forum" then please quote the post you
are replying to.
You would be far better off however, using a news reader and subscribing to
these news groups direct.
