Uninstall / Reinstall XP SP2 Error

After uninstalling sp2. I'm getting "Cannot create a file when that file
already exists." then the update fails and reverts to the rmoval wizard.

I've been trying the online autoscan and update without luck. I just
downloaded a file to run from the harddrive and recieved a different error -
something clost to "Sevice Pack 2 partially updated. Windows XP may not
operate correctly."
