TheCroW,
Did you lose the option for Video Chat or Conference?
I have:
Live Messenger 8.5
Dell Dim E521 XP Media Center SP3
No McAffee or Norton, or other Security Suite program installed. Just CA
Antivirus.
Changing Messenger Compatibility did not allow me to use voice or video,
just text. After installing the patch(es), from
http://www.phuketbutler.com/node/1072 , I lost the icon for the Video
Chat/Conference on the toolbar.
The only way I can now do a video chat, is to start a voice chat, then
select the little "camera" under each photo in the conversation/text window,
and send a invitation to start the video camera's one at a time. When I had
the Video Chat/Conference on the toolbar, I could start all three at once.
Is there further tweaks I need to do? Would you know, if this is the best I
can do, after MS made these recent changes to Live Messenger.

happy WLM 8.5 user again :-)) You don't even need a crack or something ...
