Uninstalling and Reinstalling Windows Vista

I purchased Windows Vista in Feb. 2007. A couple of months ago it started
doing goofy things and Best Buy suggested that I uninstall and reinstall and
then get updates. I have backed up all my files. Question 1) After
reinstalling, which updates should I install? I saw several on the download
site. 2) Will I lose my printer hookup by doing this? Thanks.

First of all, which brand computer is this, and what type of software you
have installed and devices you have attached to the system?
