Gentlefolk,

Please assist in my problem with a
software shareware which I
nstalled. it came with a book
"HTML Design" By the Weinman's
and instructed me to open the
CD Rom and got to Photo Shop
Pro which I did. I found it too
technical and imposing and did not
use it. I tried to unstall it to no
avail and have it now for ever!!!

It interfers with my pictures ...

How do I uninstall this, the
company gave me technical advice
which was beyond my ken and fears
of further disrupting my computer.

Did you try uninstalling through Add/Remove Programs?
If so and that failed, reinstall, reboot and then try uninstalling again.
If that fails, check the manufacturers website.

Try Jupiter Jones' suggestion. And if you can, try going
back to a restore point that was created just before the
software was installed. (Hopefully you have one.) That ought
to get rid of the installation info in the registry and
after you've done that, you can go and delete all the files
and folders that the program put on your machine.

In the future, it's a good idea to create a restore point of
your own before installing any software. Most well-behaved
programs will do this automatically; it's the unruly ones
that don't and you need to protect yourself against.
