Vista Home Premium, i installed a HP photosmart 7660 printer using the
original disc. The installation did not go well and eventually went to
HP to get a method of installation. Though the printer works there is no
listing of it in the Program & Features menu. Nor is it in the Program
listing. It does appear as a double entry in the Device Manager under
category "Other". One of the listings has a yellow triangle and the
other a ? mark. I would like to uninstall this printer and install an up
to date unit. Right clicking the entries in Device Manager and clicking
Uninstall deletes the entry but they both reappear when i plug the USB
cable back in. It also is shown as an entry under printers in the
control panel. Can someone please suggest a method of uninstalling this unit
Thanks

Try a System Restore to before you installed the printer. Then get the
printer drivers/software from HP's website for that specific model printer
and use those to install the printer. If this is a USB printer that gets
connected directly to the computer, make sure *not* to have the printer
connected to the computer until you install the software.

To run System Restore, go to the Start Orb and in the Start Search box type
"System Restore" without the quotes. System Restore will appear in the
Programs result. Click on it, allow the UAC prompt, and follow the wizard.
