Uninstalling Screensaver

I recently installed a screensaver and now wish to uninstall it, but when I
click on Control Panel and "Uninstall a Program" it isn't in the list. I'm
unable to uninstall it from the Screensavers screen as well. How can I
uninstall this screensaver without having to do a systems restore? Thanks
for your help.

Did it create a folder under the Program files folder? If so check in there
for the uninstaller. If that doesn't work then the actual screen saver file
woudl be in the Windows/System32 folder with a .svr extension.

Hello jdh,
2 places you can try :-
1. Start menu> all programs, your screen saver should be there. Click
that and there should be a list dropping down. In the list there should
be one that says " uninstall --".
2. Computer> pick OS C:, right click, click open > pick program files,
right click, click open.Scroll down to find your screen saver file.
I had one uninstalled, but the name is still in the screensaver list
although it is no longer functional. Just the name remains, and I have
no idea how to remove the name.

Thanks for your help, but there is no sign of the screen saver files. The
only place I can find it is in "Screen Savers" (where I chose which screen
saver I want to use) under Appearance and Personalization., and there's no
place to delete it there. It's not really hurting anything, I just don't
want to use it. Thanks for your help.

Nope, not there! I went to the Start menu and scrolled through and opened
every single file folder and no luck. When I do a search and type in the
name of the screen saver, nothing comes up, yet the screen saver is still
there and works. I thank you for your help.

Hello jdh,
I'm not giving up, not yet. Try this : Start menu > click the folder
under your name ( the very first one on the right panel) > type the name
of your screensaver on the search box at the top. What do you see ?

t-4-2:

I searched and searched and never could find the screensaver file (even
though the saver was in with my other ones and worked fine). So I ended up
doing a system restore, and it's gone now! I appreciate your persistence
and helpfulness! Thanks for all your help.
