uninstalling software

Software was loaded on my PC by a website that I accidentally visited
(really!). When I try to uninstall the program I receive a message telling
me "unable to open http://..." and not letting me uninstall the software.

How can I by-pass this message and get the software removed?

Check with the source for uninstall information.
However, since it was installed by a website you visited, it is most
likely spyware or possibly a virus.
