uninstalling softwares

I use Vista business on my laptop. I recently noticed that I am not able to
remove few softwares which i had installed previously. When I go for
uninstall option by control panel, unistal and change button does not appear
and even it does not show the size in some cases. Few of their icons look
alink instead of looking like their original way.
Any help is appreciated

ur registry has got corrupted.

try to use a3rd partk uninstaller and c if it helps.
tune-up, vista manager, ace utilities are the good ones out there.

Thank you very much for your time. I actually tried couple of things and
when i discussed with couple of my friends, I came to know the registry is
corrupted. Since it was annoying I just restored my system from backup. Now
things are fine
