Since the latest updates for outlook were installed on my system I can no
longer connect to my SMTP server. How do I uninstall?
or is there another solution.

How come people say this is useful when it's only a question, or is there a
useful answer somewhere I can't see ?
I too am having no luck since SP3 downloaded in getting automatic or manual
security updates to load and there are no error messages to follow up. Simply
won't load and just mocks my despair with a little yellow shield.

In Outlook, Tools, Accounts Check your account settings to verify that they
have not changed. Be sure to check More Settings. Undates are not suspose to
change your account settings, but I have had them change.

In Vista, go to Windows Update and in lower left select Installed Updates.
Find your update on the list and select it. If the update can be
uninstalled, you can do so.

In Windows XP go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Select the View to
show updates. If the update can be unistalled, you can do so.

You may also want to post your question to microsoft.public.officeupdate.
Specify the update you are have problems with. You should find more specific
help.

You should always start a new thread when discussing a problem with a different
computer.

That said, the resolution steps in this article are likely to help:

<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144>

Don't worry whether the title or cause sections apply to you or not, the same
resolution fixes various different problems. Try method 1 first, if it doesn't
work try method 2; if neither works, start a new thread in this newsgroup.

Harry.
