Hi

I have installed WSUS 3.0 in my company server 2003 SBS.

It happens that I want to remove it completely.

As you know, to configure properly this software to detect client computers,
is necessary to manualy configure Group Policy. That makes unavaliable the
Windows Update Options (it gets grey).

It happens that after a sucessfull unistall of WSUS 3.0, the Group Policy
did not "reset" the update settings on client computers.

So I manualy put the option "Not configured" in the group Policy settings.
See link with setps to configure
(http://technet2.microsoft.com/window....mspx?mfr=true),
but it does not work, the update options are still grey in client computers.

My question is, how to make those options avaliable.

Thanks in advace for your help.

Forwarded to WSUS newsgroup via crosspost:
microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services as a convenience to OP.

On the web:

In your newsreader:

No, of course not.

Did you try rebooting the clients?

Check what group policy they are receiving using gpresult.

You could also try using "gpupdate /force" to reapply the new group policy.

Harry.

Problem solved in server.

I did not changed every settings in GPO configuration to "Not Configured".

The clients are still grey but I think that is other reson.

Thanks,
