Unistalling programmes from control panel

i have been trying to unistall some unwanted programmes. after I ope
the control panel and select 'unistall programmes' its starts of an
then suddenly goes blank and windows explorer opens up. can some on
advise me on this. Th

Where do you see "unistall programmes"?

To uninstall a program, highlight it in the list, and either
right-click it and choose "uninstall" or highlight it and choose
"uninstall" from the menu above.

Did you install these program in Vista or were they installed in XP and
upgraded?

thx fred. my problem is the list does not come up. it comes up half wa
and then goes blank and windows explorer opens up instea

What comes up half way? The list of programs to uninstall or the list on
the context menu

yes fred, the list of programmes only comes up half way. then suddenl
everything goes away control pnael closes and win explorer opens

I don't know if its a good idea to use a 3rd party Product,
any ways I have used Revo Uninstaller Free to remove programs
it all so finds Registry Keys and other files that the built in Uninstallers
don't seem to remove
it works for me
May be try to find the Uninstall Utility for the program you try to romove
