Unresolved Items and Notes - AS 4.5

Hi,

I'm running Outlook 2003, WM 5 & ActiveSync 4.5.0.

If I edit a Note on both PC and my phone, and then sync, AS says,
understandably, there's an unresolved item. The problem is, if I then click
on the "Resolve items..." link in AS, it goes through a sync again and says
everything's fine, but it's actually just skipped the problematic Note.

I remember it used give me an option to ask me what I want to do. It would
tell me which Note was giving trouble, and ask in which direction I wanted
to replace. Now I get nothing. Should I revert to an earlier version of AS?

Many thanks!!

Michael

Thanks for the reply. In this case I happen to know which note is causing
the problem because I set it up as a test. But why isn't AS telling me which
note is causing the problem like it used to tell me? I can't find a setting
for that. I've got about 60 notes so in the future it'll be a big pain if
there's a conflict and AS doesn't tell me where it is.

I also can't find the setting I used to have that told AS to prompt me for
what action to take when there's a conflict. Lastly, it's disturbing that
when I click "resolve items" link, AS resyncs and says everything's fine
when it actually isn't. Just ranting, I don't expect there's much of a
useful answer to this.

Cheers,
Michael

I've reverted back to AS 4.2, and now when I have a conflict and click the
"resolve items" link in AS, it brings up the window telling me where the
conflict is and how I want to handle it. Nice. Sometimes the newer isn't
better, for sure.

Cheers

I am having the same problem as Michael but in my case I have no idea which
note is causing the problem. It is very aggravating!
