Beverly, i visited your site and it was helpful for some of the issues we
have encounted since we went to the Verizon 6600Pocket PC phones. however i
am still having problems getting the wireless sync to work using Active Sync
and our microsoft exchange server 2003. it appears to be easy to set up, but
there is something stopping it from working (probably operator error). i
have had the verizon tech guy in along with my company IT person and they
cannot get it to work; they dont know what the problem is. i think there is
a setting or something minor that is holding things up; for a while i was
convienced the server address was our problem, but after a lot of tinkering
today by all of us, i am getting a new message---error code \:http_403---it
says my account does not have permission to sync with my current settings.
talking to my exchange admin did not help as he is the IT person and does not
know what to do on this one. he thinks there is some issue withe certificate
that is supposed to be on the server and the device; we downloaded
vzw_spadcert.exe and a new root certificate and that is when we started
getting the messages about not having permission.
we are about at the end of our rope trying to get this to work; any help
would be much appreciated.
