What is unsecapp.exe

      12-22-2007
Whenever I start my computer (Vista Home Premium) a window with a black
background and blinking cursor pops up with this file name:
C:\Windows\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exe Nothing I do gets rid of it unless I
click the red X in the upper right hand corner. I can't type anything at the
cursor either. Would appeciate learning how to prevent it opening at startup.

unsecapp.exe is a process found on Microsoft Windows server and
workstation suites which offers support towards compatibility issues.

Thanks for the background info, but why does it open every time I start my
computer. How can I prevent it from opening? Why would it just start up all
the sudden?

Sorry, but I can't advise you. However, a little googling turns up
threads in which other people's discussions of unsecapp.exe may give you
a clue. You might want to look at, for instance:
