Unstable wireless network

I have Vista Home Premium 64 bit on my new HP Pavilion desktop on a Linksys
wireless network with a very strong signal since I am only 8 feet from the
router. We have three other computers on the same network which are fine.
Norton came with the computer and is active.

Sometimes the connection is good for an hour, other times it will drop and I
can't reconnect, other times it will reconnect on its own. It is very
frustrating! Help!

If it's a Wireless-G network, it can be 'influenced' by all sorts of other
home devices.... particularly the telephone and the microwave. And, of
course, the neighbors!

Try changing the channel on the router and see if that helps.

I had exactly this problem in Vista - a change to Windows 7 or Linux solves
it immediately....it's a bug in Vista.
