Hi group:
I use two (2) utilities to monitor incoming IP traffic in my Compaq
R4000 laptop (Windows XP SP2 Home with IE 7.0):
1. NetPerSec - a meter that sits in the Notification Area which shows
when there is incoming and outgoing IP traffic; and
2. TCPView - a program that shows the IP address of incoming traffic.
When the KB925902 upgrade download finished, another IP traffic of
substantial size continued to come into my laptop. Even after the
KB925902 finished installing itself, the other IP traffic was
continuing to download into my computer.
I looked at the TCPView screen and it identified the IP Address source
as 79.134.10.195.
As I was prompted to restart the computer after KB925902 finished
installing, I used the TCPView program to end the process.
I used a WHOIS search to identify the above IP Address and it was the
RIPE Network Coordination Centre in Amsterdam.
Has any of this group readers experienced this event?
