Unwanted OficeXP update

How can I stop Windows Update recommending a Service Pack 3 update for Office
XP when I have Office 2000 only. This happens every time the automatic update
runs. Obviously the update fails when it tried to install.

Presumably you have some sub-component of Office XP installed. Maybe a
Viewer? Visio Viewer? FrontPage?

Check out the listing in control panel Add or Remove Programs.

If you want to prevent an update being installed, you get the option to
"hide" it after deselecting it.
