UNWANTED STANDBY

My computer goes to standby on its own, when it is idle for about 3 minutes.
I have tried changing this from the control panel to no avail.

I am using WindowsXP, I think it's the professional version.

This is a Media Center forum, your question would be better posted in an XP
General newsgroup. However, beside the settings on the screen savers screen,
there is also a separate box Power settings and multiple controls
hibernate/sleep/standby/hard drive off/etc.

Or, any chance you have some 3rd party screen saver / power saver software
loaded?
