I've noticed since upgrading to WLM8.1b2 that CPU usage has gone through the
roof!
It's not a huge problem on my main machine, but on an older tansmeta based
laptop it's crippling... actually have to close/exit messenger to get
anything done!
iTunes 7 ws the same... a sudden unexpected leap in system resource usage,
luckily cured in 7.01 but it was enough to get me to uninstall iTunes!
For the moment I've gone back to Gaim on the slower PC (and it has tabbed
conversation windows!)

Greetings,

Same here. Closing all the current conversation windows seems to get it back under control
though.
