upate faliure

I am using windows Me. Everytime I try to install new updates from microsoft
automatic update site, browser gets freezed . It shows one message------ do
you want to install and run this product ? after clicking yes -- nothing
happens. Looking for solution. Though I have installed IE 6 SP1 already.
