Hello, Many times I update the following two items and my pc does not get
them they always appears as to be installed.
Now I wonder if this ITE IT8211 is somehow responsible for having windows xp
sp2 to reboot everytime I put a cd in my "not utilized" CDRom.
Please note that the files look empty

ITE Tech, Inc. - Other Hardware - ITE IT8211 ATA/ATAPI Controller
Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install)
ITE Tech, Inc. Other Hardware sofware update released in May, 2007
and
Driver update for HP LaserJet 1020
Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install)
Driver update provided by Hewlett-Packard Company

Thank

Daniel

Check to see if they are listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Control
Panel. Uninstall the ITE update, if it's listed, and restart the system
to see if it's causing the reboot issue.
Check to see if the HP update is listed, too. Suggest uninstalling both
and then obtain the hardware updates from the manufacturer's web sites.

If one or both are not listed, then open Device Manager, locate the
hardware, double click it/them, click the Driver tab, and then use the
Rollback driver button to revert to the previous working version.
