I ran the automatic updates of 13-06-07: a.o. KB933566 (cumulative security
update for IE7 for XP).
Since than I get the following notifications:
- warning: FTP (active): error 18 when connecting to ftp.microsoft.com:
there are no more files
- warning FTP (passive): error 12002 when connecting to ftp.microsoft.com:
the operation timed out
- error: can not make an FTP-connection.
IE7 seems to be working normal (http); what went wrong?

Hi;

No help, I know, but FTP is working fine here in Vista/IE7. Could it be
that there was just a server hiccup when you tried? If you clear the TIF
and try again do you get the same errors?

Windows version?

Were you using Windows Update or Automatic Updates to update?

Did you successfully install the update(s) and reboot?

When do you get these notifications?
Are you able to access other FTP servers?

ftp.microsoft.com is and has ever been somewhat flacky in accepting
FTP connections via browser software. I cannot access the server via
Firefox right now either. Anyhow, you may want to use an separate FTP
client software (SmartFTP and the like) in case you rely on access to
ftp.microsoft.com (if the server is up and running).

Bye,
Freudi
