I installed a cricital update on 5/8/07. Ever since then I cannot use my
Flash 9 player. I have uninstalled & installed the player & it's still not
working. Any ideas?

(I'm trying to view abc.com flash player & I was able to use it before. Then
right after the update, it no longer works.)

Thanks in advance!!

Can you define "not working" more specifically?

What exactly was the update that you installed?

What version of Windows?

It's Windows XP.
The updates were (kb930986, kb931768, kb890830) They were a cumulative
security update, a general windows xp update, and a malicious software
removal tool) *all noted as critical updates*

The flash player will play audio but not video. It worked fine before these
updates were installed.

Thanks again!

I think you mean 930916 rather than 930986, but in any case, there's no
reason for any of those updates to have affected video. I assume that
Windows Update did not send a video driver update at the same time?

One way of forcing the Flash player to refresh itself it to open:
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files
then right-click on "Shockwave Flash Object" and select "Update".

You can test both the Flash and the Shockwave viewers by visiting:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

You could try checking any settings for your video card, or even updating
the drivers for your video card, from the manufacturer's support site.
