update 867801/Outlook Express 6 shutdowns

Hi,
I recently applied the kb867801 update and now Outlook
Express 6 resets my computer when I press 'send' on an
email I want to send out! I am able to retrieve messages
fine and the OS otherwise seems ok. My antivirus is up to
date and I can't think of anything else it might be so I'd
like to remove this update and see if it is causing the
problem.

The update does not show in add/remove programs (win2k)
and there is no 'read more' showing online in my
installation history on the MS update website so I'm
unable to uninstall that way. Furthermore, going the
msinfo32/update wizard uninstall shows no packages
available which is apparently only for drivers, not
software updates.

Does anyone have an answer for either the OE behavior or
recovering from this update besides restoring from an old
backup or starting over with a total OS reinstall?

It should be in Add/Remove (at least in Win98SE)
It is listed as "Internet Explorer Q867801" .

i applied this update on 2 computers- win2000 and winxp pro and both do not
show up on add/remove software nor are they in the c:/windows folder
thank goodness the install went find or i would be in way big trouble
