I did the zip that freud suggested then restarted. My computer then went into
a cycle and would not restart. After many tries fooling with the f8 key and
so on i finally got lucky and started. At that point i just removed the hp
share to web with add remove programs, still had many problems, went and
removed the update and stii problems. In further searching thru after 5 hrs.
of fooling with it i have these symptoms. ... When starting (when it does
start) it says windows is starting up and it stays about 2 minutes like that.
Then when it gets beyond that it takes about another 2 minutes to load the
programs in sytray. When i click on security in control panel there is
nothing their. No firewall security or anything. I also found in device
manager that their is a yellow exclamation mark in the line that reads
"Microsoft management bios driver"
What the hay went sour?? What do i try? I have an ecs k7s5a mother board
with an AMD 1800 proc. I have 512 memory and tried switching memory also to a
known good 1 just in case. I would be more than happy to provide any other
info if needed. i just don't know what else to add. I have another computer,
( a laptop with same software that i don't even want to attempt to update at
this point). Had a very bad experience last year also that i finally scrapped
the hard drive. and don't want to repeat.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE.

When the pc is booting up ,Tap F8 Function key to get bootup options. Tap & keep repeat tapping F8 !

When presented with bootup choices, select Last Known Good Configuration.
Now try getting into Windows. Does that work?

No Maurice, that does not work. I'm at the point where it keeps cycling and
does a physical memory dump then tries to restart. I looked in the log and it
has an error "root\system\0002 error code 39. I did reinstall the
graphics driver as suggested and also changed the memory as suggested. I'm
not sure what the yellow exclamation mark is in the device manager thru the
system management driver. I don't know how to reinstall that. I wonder if
that is the key problem?

I'm sorry to hear that, but I can assure you, that the problem you've
ran into does *not* rely on the KB908531_Share-To-Web.reg contained in
the KB908531_Share-To-Web.zip file.

The lastest BIOS and chipset drivers are installed?

Bye,
Freudi
