Update 918899 & SP1

When the August updates were offered I downloaded most but opted to
hold off on 918899 until I saw if people had any probolems with it.
Within a couple of days I saw a lot of people who had SP1 having
browser issues. (I have SP1 currently.) Then I read that Microsoft
was going to release a new version of 918899 on August 22 for SP1
users.

My Automatic Updates setting is set to "notify me but don't
automatically download or install them." (I go to the windowsupdate
site and download once I get the notifications.)
The little update icon in the tray still has the 918899 notification,
but I'm ignoring it for now but not removing it, as I don't want to
"hide" it.

Will the SP1 replacement for 918899 still be the same number or will
the number be different? If it's the same, how can I tell that I'm
installing the right one? If it's offered through Windows Update, will
it automatically remove the old 918899 offering and supercede it with
the new one or should I remove/hide the old one?
