update again

Just had to install update KB967715 AGAIN! What gives with that update
anyway.

Do you see any other threads here with KB967715 in the subject, Claire?

Nothing works. I've given up on KB967715 and won't try to install it again.
I'm doing okay without it, so who needs it anyway?

Claire you do need this update it is for an important issue. I was having
same repeated download of update since middle of Feb.

Tonight I did a manual windows update.
Save the KB9767715 file to the desktop
Rebooted into safe mode
change directory to desktop
double click to install update
when completed reboot again.

If you not sure how to do the above ask someone to help

I got in touch with Microsoft about changing the name of the download
file since I have Roxio installed, and this is what Vito replied

James, the most common cause for this issue is some files are not replaced
successfully while installing updates. The issue can also occur if some
system settings are incorrect. Please be ensured I would do my best to help
you.

We can install Update for Windows XP (KB950582) then we do not need the
update KB967715 any more.

1. Please download Update for Windows XP (KB950582) from following link.

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...82-x86-ENU.exe.

2. Please double click the downloaded file to install.

3. After installing Update for Windows XP (KB950582), please check the issue
on the update website again. Would the update KB967715 still be reoffered?
