Hi WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773) error,
That error may be due to bad blocks on your hard drive. Open Event Viewer
(Start>Run key in eventvwr.msc then click on OK or hit ENTER) and then click
on System in the left pane. Check the right pane for any Errors that are
related to Disk. If there are Disk Errors that occur around the same time as
your failed updates, double-click on them to view the Description........if
they say something like this:
"The device, \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block"
then boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and key in: chkdsk /r
then hit ENTER.
When the chkdsk has been performed, and any errors repaired, restart in
normal mode and retry the updates.
