Update Calendar?

Does anyone know if there is an update calendar available for patches? Two
days ago - .net patch came out and some software we have written is now
incompatible. I would think there is some way to get a heads-up or
pre-release testing opportunity for us small time developers?

..net 2.0 sp1 actually came out months ago. It's only been recently that
it was pushed up to high priority and critical.

Most security updates are released on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. 4-5
days before the monthly updates are released, MS posts an Advance
Notification here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.aspx
