Make dure you have a copy of the latest driver on you desktop easy to
get at (The screen likely to get messed up)
Reboot
Set AV and other security software NOT to start with Windows.
Start>Settings>add remove programs>Nvidia
(Oops I mean control panel remove etc)
If you get a choice only select Video Driver
Remove it.
It may ask to reboot, if not do so anyway
Reinstall driver
Reset resolution
Sometimes you can get away with install while running but most times you
can't so the MS Update way is not recommended since the machine is
running the old driver as it installs. You could make the same mistake
with the NVidia driver as well of course, many cases you simply MUST
install first, it may appear to work but cause problems if you do not.
