Full Error Message: "This update cannot be approved for installation because
its End User License Agreement (EULA) failed to download. Click Retry
download from the update tasks to retry."

What you need to do is, APPROVE FOR DETECTION first of all then once the
status has changed to DETECT ONLY you can CHANGE APPROVAL to INSTALL and the
EULA will pop-up for you to ACCEPT then the patch will download successfully
for deployment.

This post was written for patches that had been already been downloaded by
WSUS but had the red cross stating the error message.

If you haven't already downloaded the files to WSUS you need to change the
status to DETECT ONLY then RETRY DOWNLOAD then a few seconds into this
process CHANGE APPROVAL to INSTALL

Hi.

I can't seem to get this to work.
I get the same error message either way.
I now have the status "Detect only", but the file is not downloading.
I tried clicking "retry download", then after a few seconds, changing the
approval to install, but the error is the same.

I found, as I also saw in another thread, that it is Office Updates only that
causes this error.
